Having had a varied and very rewarding career in education, I took on a new learning experience in Art & Design . I have always been a keen photographer, tapestry maker and patio artist, but in 2012 I undertook the HNC and then HND in Art & Design at Ayr College and now can add drawing, ceramics, sculpture, print-making and painting to my repertoire.

Having focussed on Coast in my HND year, I am now looking at landscape generally, but also at city-scapes and figures as I start out as a practising artist.

Photography still plays a major part in preparation for my work and my love of texture and colour in the countryside around us, I hope, is evident in the pieces I produce.
